Terms

- Beta. Narrate is early software. It will change, sometimes without notice, and parts of it may break or be removed. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot lose — Export is in Account for exactly that.
- Your account. You need an account to keep a cloud copy or to connect an AI. Keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under it is yours to answer for.
- Your journal is yours. Everything Narrate records about you belongs to you. We hold it only to run the service for you, as the Privacy page says, and you can export, pause or delete it as described there.
- Age. Narrate is for people aged 13 and over. If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must agree to your using it, and Narrate asks you to confirm that when you set it up.
- What you may not do. Do not use Narrate to keep a record of someone who has not agreed to it, to attack the service, or to break the law.
- Connected AIs. When you connect an AI, what it does with what it reads is governed by that AI's terms, not ours. You can cut it off at any time from Connections in the app.
- Price. Narrate is free during the beta, and the app takes no payment. We will tell you before that changes.
- Ending. You can stop at any time: delete the app, or pause or delete your account. We may suspend an account that breaks clause 5, and will say why.
- No promises. Narrate is provided as it is. It reconstructs your day from signals and will sometimes be wrong; it is not medical, legal or safety advice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using a beta.
- Who we are, and law. Narrate is a product of New Analog, a company being formed in South Africa. Until it is registered, its founder operates Narrate personally. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
- Changes. If these terms change, the date at the top changes, and the app tells you before the new terms apply.
